Happy Pride Month! This is a perfect time to share some of my favorite books that include characters in the LGBT+ community! Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust Synopsis: In this Snow White retelling, the relationship between Lynet and her stepmother Mina seems to be doomed from the start, unless both of…

I keep all of my reviews spoiler free, but I will occasionally include a visibly marked spoilers section at the bottom of reviews.

I include these content warnings & more on my reviews.

i was going to write a full review of this book....but i can't. i don't have much to say other than i just didn't like it 🙊 the synopsis sounded way different than the first book, but the structure felt the same. i don't know if that style of story telling is just how le guin wrote or if it was just how fantasy was written then, but it doesn't work for me and i won't be reading more of the series.
these are the oldest books on my tbr! (by publication) which aren't actually that old in the grand scheme of things 😂 i'm actually surprised that i enjoyed assassin's apprentice enough to read the sequel, because the age of it was what made me initially skeptical. i appreciate straightforward writing and i generally don't find that in older fantasy
this book was so good! i really can't think of anything i didn't like about it, other than the fact that certain parts made my a little sad 😂 i'm so excited to see what happens in the next books because this book was so intriguing. full review on my blog!
i completed my march reread of green rider as planned! i think this first book is probably my least favorite in the series, so i am so excited to reread the rest! specifically 2-4 because i have the least amount of memory of those books. this book just had some pacing issues for me, but from what i remember, that's pretty much resolved in the next book. full review on my blog!
a stack of books about fictional siblings! though at least two are based on historical people and one book features a sibling that is dead before the book starts 😬 i ended up with another unintentionally color coordinated stack!
flamefall is DEFINITELY one of my top reads of the year so far!! i was so stressed the entire time 😂😂 but i love the characters and the story so much, i can't even think of anything negative to say. full review (or gush) over on my blog!
